“Ready” doesn't mean “not afraid”. It's so easy to tell yourself that you're ready for a challenge the moment you feel the fears, negativity, and doubts fade away. It makes sense because we can always rationalize our mistakes. Naturally, you're not ready for something until you've got a plan, you’re feeling energized, and everyone else views you the correct way, right? Everyone is ready for an ideal situation, but it takes guts to be ready for the difficult one. So if you're not feeling “ready”, then maybe you're just recognizing the fact that things don't look the way you wish they did. But, when you can accept a challenge the way it is, that's all you need to truly be ready.
When you look at it that way, whether or not you're ready has nothing to do with the situation. The only thing that counts is how you view the next steps. Don't worry about if you're ready, because it doesn't matter. Worry about the specific steps you're going to take, and focus on the things you're willing to sacrifice if the challenge sees it's necessary.
