What's On My Vision Board Pt. 2

Everyone has certain things they feel they must experience in life. Too often, we allow things to get in the way of those visions becoming a reality. Norms, routine, fear, etc., and we can forget to overlook the first step of overcoming these obstacles. But that very first step is to visualize. To be still, wonder, and realize that your life must have more. Not for selfish reasons, but because life is made to be an adventure. You can't have that adventure without the curiosity to guide you.

That's why I love vision boards. Because they're a tool to help you do exactly that - visualize.
Visioning, planning, and learning are really my favorite hobbies. A great way to do all of these is to create a space for you to let your imagination take over. So as time has passed and I've discovered more about what my hopes and dreams include, it's time to make some adjustments to my board. And of course, there will be more in the future. ;)

1. Musical Inspiration.

First off, I've kept my musical inspiration up. It's still my biggest goal to someday make a career out of playing bass.

2. Invest in Property.

"Buy land, they're not making it anymore." - Mark Twain
This has been my plan for quite a while. Investing in properties is something I definitely plan to do and is currently what I'm mainly saving up for. Plus, working at a KW office with lots of agents around is pretty helpful. :)

3. Learn Latte Art.

Because why not?

4. Learn IT.

Because why not, but also because that would be an amazing skill to have. Just imagine going the an interview process and it comes down to two candidates - you and someone else. These kind of skills will definitely put you ahead of the game. Besides, it would be fun to know anyway.

5. Graduate from Praxis.

And I have! It was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made and I'm keeping it up to remind me of what a great experience that was.

6. Future Living Situation.

I don't know why, but I've never wanted the big house on a beach with lots of land and 6 bathrooms with the kitchen island and what not. What I really want is an apartment with TONS of books and basses on the walls. And maybe a hammock or something.

7. Work at Fearless Records.

Someday it's going to happen. And if they're not hiring, I'll create a position for myself.

8. Write a Screenplay.

I don't care if it doesn't win an award or if anyone is even interested in buying it, but I would really love to just say I've written one someday. I think it would be a really great creative process and I already have an idea I'm working on.

9. Get Certified in Adobe.

I've been dabbling with graphic design since I was 11 or 12 but I would really love to take it more seriously and eventually become certified.

10. Impact Places Around the Globe.

"Whaaat??"

I know. It sounds a little out there but it's going to happen. For a while now I've had an idea for a school/program that I'd love to start. I won't give details yet, but this map is some of the areas I'd love to reach out to. (I drew it by hand so if it looks weird cut me some slack, okay?)

11. Visit NYC.

I've always been fascinated with tall buildings, busy cities, and beautiful skylines. I live in Los Angeles, my heart belongs to Denver, but I need to see NYC someday.

12. Write a Book.

I can't live the next 50+ years without writing at least one book. I mean come on, I've already written every day for over 300 days. A book is definitely in the near future.

13. Dye my Hair Grey.

I already have grey highlights, but I'm currently in love with the hombre look.

14. Get Certified in MBTI.

Meyers-Briggs personality types.

Anyone who knows me know's it's MOST of what I think about. Some people take the test, learn a little about themselves, and then move on like nothing happened. Not me. It completely changed my worldview and and the way I view others. I've gone really deep into studying the different types and the psychology behind it. It only makes sense for me to get certified.

15. Get a Car and my Driver's License.

No, I don't have either one of those yet.

I'm 18.

I've been too busy learning other things, it really just hasn't been a big enough priority for me. I've been getting around by either walking or using Uber. Truth is, I can drive but I just haven't passed my test yet. I really don't have any motivation to buy a car other than the fact that everyone will shut up about it.

16. Get a Nice Phone.

I have a sad phone. :(

17. Grow Raspberries.

And just get into gardening altogether! But for now, I've been trying to grow a raspberry bush and I'm hoping I don't kill it!

18. Sell Homemade Lotions & Sugar Scrubs.

I've done this in the past when trying to raise money for different causes. It worked out well and I learned a lot from it. I've been making my own lotion and sugar scrubs for a couple years now. I have many funny stories about how many times I failed (have you ever smelled burnt shea?) but soon I'd love to get back into selling it. Just for fun!

19. Learn Web Development.

This is something I never thought I'd get into, but alas, here I am. I've already gone through some HTML courses and I'm working my way through this path! I'm enjoying it a lot. :)
Life is too short to not try lots of things. Everything on this board means so much to me and I'm using this purely as motivation to move forward. Not weigh me down.

This is awesome Trinity! I love that you've even already seen the payoff with at least one of these (Praxis) - I am curious though why you are looking into that one record store to work at. Is it local to you, or something special about it or would you want to work at any record store?
