Pop-punk tends to confuse me. (That’s why I have a harder time getting into it.) Because even within the term “pop-punk”, I can’t help but think there’s a contradiction. “Pop” is happy/upbeat, and you would imagine “punk” to be slightly more grungy/angry - the two are complete opposites. That’s the main reason pop-punk isn’t my favorite, but once I stop thinking too hard I always have fun with it. (I’m just a weirdo I guess.) However, there's a few pop-punk bands that I especially enjoy listening to, and With Confidence is one of them. #1 - "That Something" As of lately, I’ve been listening to this song multiple times throughout the day as I’m getting things done or typing up blog posts. It was just released a few weeks ago in their new album “Love and Loathing” - definitely a good album, and this is such a fun song! #2 - "Voldemort" This song was the first I’d ever heard by With Confidence, I liked it right away, and I’m pretty sure I added it to my playlist after only hearing the first few measures. This is their best song in my opinion. I think it’s great. I've been listening to a lot more pop-punk this past week (more than usual) so I must be in one of those moods. But even if I wasn't, I still think With Confidence is slightly underrated and I'm glad they're still growing.
