Between last week's Praxis Wednesday, a few conversations with some friends, and a photo I shared two weeks ago, I learned a simple concept that I'm trying to apply to my life right now. It's essentially the only life hack you'll ever need, but it's a lot easier to think about than to actually do. Now, I'll give you some context.
The Praxis Wednesday call was about thinking and speaking positively. Instead of saying "I'm fine" say, "I'm doing great!" Since that call, I spoke with other Praxians about it. We agree it's something we're going to make a greater effort to include in our daily lives. The photo wasn't my favorite. To be completely honest with you, I hesitated to even post it because I didn't "love" it. I almost shared how I felt about it in the caption, but I decided to flip my mindset around. Instead of saying "I know this photo isn't my greatest blah blah blah", I said, "I sacrificed my lunch today so I could take this photo. Your welcome. Enjoy these palm trees." I felt much better about saying the second caption. You can't expect your mindset to change overnight. But, if you start with the little things, it's a lot easier and it'll become a habit.
