Yesterday I shared that I need to be more intentional with my daily writing, so I've come up with some solutions. These are just slight changes that I'm going to make temporarily, and the idea is to keep making adjustments every so often. I might make adjustments every two to three weeks, but playing it by ear might be the best option. Here's what I'm changing:
1 - When I write. I prefer writing at night because I can be more reflective at the end of the day. Heck, I've even written blog posts about the benefits of writing at night. I'll switch back at some point, but for now, I think it's best to try new things. I'm switching to writing in the morning which will make some things more difficult, but it's worth testing out for a while. 2 - Where I write. I used to write in my bedroom since it was late at night, but now that I'm changing the time, I can also change the location. Right now, I'm set up at the table in my kitchen. Maybe tomorrow I'll set myself up in the den, or the living room. I guess it just depends on how I feel. 3 - How I write. Instead of writing in Google Drive, I'm writing directly into Grammarly. Again, this only temporary, but I want to see what mistakes I'm more apt to make. Once I can recognize my weaknesses, I'll switch back to Google Drive and be cautious in those specific areas. I'll then copy and paste my writing into Grammarly to see if I'm improving.
