You don’t always need a supervisor. You don’t always need rules, you don’t always need instructions, and you don’t always need permission. Sometimes “winging it” is the smartest choice because it shows something about who you are.
Just taking that first step into something you’re unfamiliar with is a good thing. If you’re brave enough to jump into that, then you’re brave enough to handle with the failures that lie ahead.
People think “winging it” is a sign of weakness or stupidity, and that stems from their misconception of failure. It’s typical, I wish more people could understand this concept. There’s something special about the person who takes risks, creates their own path, and challenges the rest of the world. There’s so much more to life when you learn to sometimes “wing it” - that shouldn’t always be looked down upon. It’s just another way to show courage, curiosity, and humility.
