Roots

The most painful part of change is that it makes us question our roots. The moment our lives take a turn, or something we love is taken away from us, we face the fact that life will continue on this way. When we realize this, we have to ask ourselves what we’re grounded in. We have to recognize those key factors at the core. Because if we’re not clinging onto something during the storm, there’s no telling where you’ll end up.
Digging deep into the depths of our personalities isn’t easy, and that’s one of the reasons we often dread change. Even if the changes are good ones, and we can know for sure they’ll bring good, we don’t want to leave the past. We don’t want to face the difficulties of leaving something behind, we also don’t like to look into ourselves. It’s a painful sacrifice.

There’s a lot of change going on in my family right now, my whole family feels it. But even though it’s all good changes, it’s sad to realize we’ll be leaving our normal lives in the past. Though, there’s always good memories and those will keep us moving since those are what have molded us. For me personally, it’s just a matter of keeping myself grounded into strong sources. The process just isn’t easy.
