This past weekend, I went to the beach. (Yes, I know the world is in lockdown, but this particular area of Northern CA was open.) Being surrounded by nature always puts me into a different mindset. There’s something about the feeling… When we flee to nature are we escaping reality or finally getting there? It’s an interesting question and I found it very prevalent during my weekend stay. Obviously, both life in nature and life in the city are equally real, but I also believe they’re both equally important for growth.
If you’ve ever been to the beach and watched the waves, recall that feeling for one moment. You know, the one where you see the wave just barely forming. It’s easy to spot. You continue to watch as it grows, and eventually, crashes. The cycle repeats, but you always see it coming.
This is a good analogy for life as we too go through similar cycles.
I find myself now in a spot where I’ve recognized a need for a change. This is not a negative thing in the slightest, but I see it as the next step in my career development.
Now entering “Phase 2”, here’s what I’ve completed so far:
For this next phase, my primary focus will be targeting companies. Yes, I’ve done some of this already, but now that I’ve touched up on a few things this can become my main focus.
I’m very excited about this shift because I’m confident something good will come of it. Plenty of learning and new experiences.
Here’s to job-hunting.
