At this point in life, I'm learning just how important it is to be focused. I've always been one to have many interests, which I think is good, but I also think it's essential to do one thing at a time. More specifically, have one focus at a time. I can blast through a book a day if I want to. But there was also a time when I was reading 12 books all at once. (Yes, twelve.) That was a good experience for me, but it's not the most beneficial to live that way. The truth is, our minds can't multitask, so we need to get more direct.
I have goals. But, I'm doing a pretty bad job of visualizing some of the bigger ones. I believe the reason is because I have a passion that I haven't quite focused on enough. I haven't actually gone through with planning everything out one thing at a time. So with that, my advice for today is to be honest with what your biggest dreams are. Really dig deep into why you want to pursue those dreams. Then, plan accordingly. Take it one thing at a time, first visualize the end, then bring it all the way down to what you can do today. Ask yourself, “What can I do right now to pursue this goal?”. The hardest part is getting started, but visualizing should help with the starting points.
