Insult To Innovation

Sometimes “stupid”, “idiot”, and “crazy” are signs you’re on the right path.

Who’s your favorite artist? Favorite thinker? I don’t care who you choose, but I’m sure that you look up to people that stand out. I doubt anyone would say, “I love so-and-so, because there’s nothing special about them.”
Different, usually isn’t bad. People do awesome things when they step out of their comfort zones.

Know your goals and know yourself.  If you do that, I’m positive that the process will be natural. (Hard, yes.) But it’s your choice: do you want to keep moving, or let the “stupid”, “idiot”, and “crazy” hold you back?

I have a challenge for you: write a list of 10 people you admire. It can be people you know personally, well-known people, or a combination. Next, write out your reasons these people are looked up to.

I’ve been seeing a pattern lately, and everyone I list either has (or is) doing something different. These people were strange to the world at the beginning, but what I love is that they just kept doing what they were doing. I think the reason is because they knew how to take insults as compliments, and that’s something I wish we could all be better at.
