Creating a personal brand for yourself is very difficult. (Well, at least for me it has been.) But I've finally got some direction for taking my personal brand to the next level. I read the book "The One Thing" recently, and my biggest takeaway was to do only one thing per day to reach my goals. It's such a simple strategy, but it's much easier to get started on projects if you take that approach. Even if all you can do is spend 10 minutes doing research, that's a step closer to moving toward your vision.
In my case, I recognize my visions aren't totally defined yet. I have a lot of ideas, but most of them are vague and unclear at the moment. They're still big goals and dreams of mine, but since I haven't gone deeper into the details, taking action can be difficult. Lately, I've been getting into the habit of doing one thing per day to create value for my own personal brand as well as for my job. Whether that be just getting the ideas down on paper, taking action on them, discussing them with others, doing research, etc. Getting started is often more difficult than it needs to be, but if you make a habit of creating value every day, more
