CORE (Meeting 1)

Today was the first session of CORE and overall I felt that it was a good first meeting, but it wasn’t totally what I imagined. I knew I wanted it to be a relaxed first call - which it was - but I there were a few mistakes that I made and plan to look out for in future meetings.
I was actually surprised at how nervous I was before the call. I wasn’t expecting for myself to be that nervous since I’ve done “scarier” things in the past but for some reason I found myself to be pretty nervous. Thankfully that went away fairly quickly, once I saw familiar faces I was able to relax and be focused. I felt pretty comfortable for the rest of the call and I had a great time talking with everyone.

My biggest concern is that I didn’t express what the goal and main focus of CORE is meant to be. I was planning on talking about it towards the end of the call, but by then it had already gone over an hour and I didn’t want to take up too much time. The next session I plan on going more in depth on what the purpose is, the mindset, and more plans for the future. However, I did really enjoy the meeting and considering it was the first one, I think it went very well.
