People are naturally drawn to the idea of community, no matter what kind of personality, it’s a part of our nature. A big struggle for me has been learning from others as well as taking advice from others. I’ve gotten better at it, but one thing I want to improve on is learning to be a better listener, challenger, and supporter. Since one of my passions is in watching people and helping them with their challenges, I thought it would be a great idea to form an online community of people that are working on big projects.
I’m talking about the people that stand out in a crowd - the ones that I (in a sense) look up to and can see are hungry for something more. This has been an idea of mine for months now, and I’m excited to say that I have 25 people already a part of this community and we have our first session tomorrow to introduce ourselves and get to know each other. I’m really looking forward to seeing what these special individuals have to offer one another, and to see what ways we can creatively collaborate to make big things happen.
I’ve always loved watching people follow their passions as I too love following my own. The process of creating new ideas, taking ownership of your own future, and using uniqueness as a skill (rather than a setback) is one of my biggest passions. It excites me to go through the process and also help others go through theirs.
I didn’t even think about the fact that I was building my own tribe by doing this. That’s part of the beauty of creativity, it takes you down paths you couldn’t imagine.
