It’s okay to let loose and be funny sometimes, I actually think it’s really healthy. Okay, I’m not going to sit here and claim that I’m the funniest person ever, but I will admit that trying to be funny is often what keeps me motivated. If a day goes by and I did nothing to make someone else laugh, something is wrong. Again, it’s not that I think I’m funny but it’s a good idea to at least try to be.
I honestly think sarcasm is more helpful to society than the public school system. Don't hate me.
Here's why being funny is healthy: for one thing, it gets you comfortable in your own skin. Even if that feeling doesn’t last forever it gives you a taste of that freedom. Next time you’re out in public, start getting goofy. Don’t think about what other people are thinking, just do something funny. Try dancing, I do it all the time I'm not going to lie. Or, try engaging with someone and be awkward on purpose, watch their reaction, and laugh at it later. (It’s fun.) It's even better if you’re with a friend because you get to share those moments with someone else. You'll both treasure those moments, you'll both want to do it again, and it helps you both grow closer. Have fun, let loose and be funny. Even if you’re the only one that thinks it’s funny, at least you’re forcing yourself to be creative.
Stop being a grump. I say this for your own sake. Be creative and do something funny. Who cares if no one laughs? Who cares if everyone laughs? Just go for it.
